Kansas City Investment Group’s Library Lending Policy

1. You must be a member in good standing of KCIG with a current membership application on file.

2. To borrow a book you must apply for a library privilege and place a deposit. To do this, send us a personal or company check made out to “KCIG” for the amount of $50.00 for standard items like books or CD’s or $150 for complete home sudy courses with workbooks and supplemental media or present your deposit in person at the general meeting. This amount will be held by KCIG in our savings account while you have materials checked out. You may leave your deposit in the account for convenience if you desire to check out materials on a regular basis. The option of using a charge card for deposits is now available (See the Treasurer at the general meeting).

3. To request a borrowed item, you may email your request to info@kcig.org or submit in person at the monthly meeting

4. The request must have your name and contact information. Your information and deposit will be verified and the requested item(s) will be brought to the next general meeting or made available at the next Board Meeting.

5. You can borrow one item at any one time. An extra item may be borrowed at the discretion of the librarian but an additional deposit may be required.

6. Borrowed items can be kept one month, after which time they must be renewed (limit of one time) by sending a request by email to info@kcig.org, or it will be considered late.

7. A borrowed item will be considered late if not returned or renewed within one month of receipt by member. A grace period of two weeks will be allowed, after which the library privilege fee (deposit) will be forfeited.

8. Please notify the Membership Committee Officer if your contact information changes.
Remember, this is your library so take advantage of this valuable benefit. Feel free to make suggestions for subjects and courses not currently featured by sending an email to info@kcig.org. Requests are subject to approval by the librarian and Board of Directors.

Do you have any real estate courses just sitting on your bookshelf not being used? Why not donate them to KCIG and possibly get a tax write-off?
